A couple questions... Are members supposed to nominate in every category? (I seldom read threads and have barely looked into electronic and band music here)... When is the nomination process closing? (I think I'll take forever filling in the blanks ;) ). Ohh... and where is YC's Best Couple :mad: ???? EDIT: I should absolutely have read the full opening post before my first question :blush: ...

Wow... I was aware about the competitions and challenges, but didn't really know about the annual awards :) ! Sounds like an Oscar-like choice :cool: ... So are we meant to suggest categories? Does this mean that we can vote not only for the best but also for the worst? (I'm sorry for these laughable questions, but I'm really new enough not to be fully aware of how does this work) :blush:

My vote goes to To Be Human Again, from The Beauty and The Beast (of course due to its ballet implications ;) ).

I should say the truth... by accident! :blush: I'm an not much of a composer, but I'm really into ballet :) and during a holiday I was looking for new music suitable for a coreography. I think I clicked on the wrong link, but I ended up here, and out of curiosity I picked a random piece to listen. I loved it :wub: (it was a waltz by Austenite but can't remember its title right now) - but it was very much like what I was looking for... That got me interested in music by other members as well, so I kept coming back to the site and discovered very good pieces, as well as polls and competitions :D . I'm rather shy and don't usually post on the forums, but I keep coming back time and again, and each time I find new lovely pieces. So I'm now stuck here :unsure: ...

My favorite real-life composers: Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky (I love their ballets!) My favorite composers from this site (so far :P): Max Castillo, Austenite, Sojar Voglar.

I'm a celesta lover too (don't blame me, I'm an amateur ballet dancer rather than a composer, and Tchaikovsky's Sugarplum Fairy just fires my imagination!)

Wow, it's a nice competition what you're having here :) ! Loved it! I'm trying to listen to all the pieces that entered this contest. Just a question: why are some pieces missing the score from every judge? I hope that didn't affect the outcome.
