Wow, I've never seen anything that used all five. I think mine used four.

As long as it is reasonable...if not...then you will have a not so good percussion recording. lol

I have Finale 2007. I do believe that the GPO is included in the 2007 version.

I also own Finale 2005 in case you have an older version.

No dropping out allowed! Sorry...just e-mail me what you have. You don't need parts yet nor does the score have to be "cleaned". You can do that in the few weeks to a month that I am giving you to turn everything in.

We LOVE jazz music if you could write something like that. That's a plus! I will leave you on the list, but if you don't turn something in I will know why. Thanks!

erm... problem though. I'll write you a big band chart... but is it ok if I give the oboes and such a break? I would probably write it for a traditional big band... would you need me to adapt it so the non standard instruments could play? (I would probably use all the saxes, clarinets, maybe some flutes, definitly trombones and trumpets, plus the standard rhythm section) so, if the oboes and others that I didn't mention just took a break for a while, would they mind?

No, go ahead and write it with the standard jazz ensemble.

Wouldn't that be a bad idea? You only 1 tenor sax and a couple altos. Kinda weak for a jazz band.

I think that looking at the deadline, I don't think I can do it, man. I've got a big jazz composer's thing happening on friday, and this week I'm gonna be busy getting the band(s) at school set up. I think that I'm not going to have a lot of time in the near future to be writing charts for contests :)

however, I would happy to perhaps write you something out of the context of this contest, you may just have to wait for a while :)
