Is gots me a metal song that I performed everything except the drums for. It's called beast unleashed, and I guess I could give you the lyrics. ;) It's pretty good I think, but please, lemme know.

Lyrics:

I see - something in your eyes

It makes me wonder why you try

To convince me that you are the one in control

Grant me - the chance to expose

All the things that keep you from repose

And convince me you are not the one in control.

All the things th-at you prize

Have now become dead and dry

In your eyes are tears of rage

But it's you who opened up this cage

You fail - blaming it on me

When you think that it's good to flee

Being the one that is always losing control

The tale - is always the same

Mass murdering and death are a game

You're the one that is always losing your control

All the things that you prize

Have now become dead and dry

In your heart are tears of rage

But it's you who opened up this cage

Full of rage, full of pain

You release the beast inside again

Full of rage, open cage

You unleash the beast inside again

X2

All the things that you prize

Have now become dead and dry

In your eyes are tears of rage

But it's you who opened up this cage

All the things that you prize

Have now become dead and dry

In your heart are tears of rage

But it's you who opened up this cage

Full of rage, full of pain

You release the beast inside again

Full of rage, open cage

You unleash the beast inside again

The vocals were a bit off key, the bass playing was sloppy, the guitar solo was pretty lame in my opinion, and the production could use some touching up (for all I know, you spent very little to record this, so you did well with what you had). Overall, though, you have a decent song here.

Yea, if I had another vocalist, trust me I would definately use them. I know my lead work sucks... and well, I dunno still learning about production. HAH!

Anyway, I'm suprised you thought the bass playing was sloppy! But then again, it was an improvement over the first edition's bass playing and tone, so I kinda did it in a hurry. Yes, I know bass playing done in a hurry sucks but I tried. I'm glad you liked the song overall. :D

I appreciate the comment. Tell your friends.

this has some rad riffs in it, too bad the guitars sound a bit 'flat' if you will and they are for my taste shoved back a bit too far, you should bring em up front more.

the bass has tad bit too much high freq's which make the bass sound sloppy, while it actual playing isn't. the drum lines are tight and cool, you combined the rhythm well with all instruments. the vocals though, i'm not sure about, they seem a bit pantera-like, but then again they don't. the vocals could use some work. this reminds me of soilwork a lot in some way :).

overall, this song is badass. :)

Thank you very much robert.

My bass tone is still a work in progress for metal. I have my rock tone pretty well meted out, and as far as guitar goes... I play it like a bass player, as in, the only time it is up is when is soloing. Because in Metal, the guitar doubles the bass anyway (hahaahahaah, or the other way around) so having it in the back is just the way I mix it. But, that being said, I have gotten better at mixing since this, so my next works (when they are finished production-wise) will be far better. Thanks for the comments!

I must say that I enjoyed it right through, I have no complaints other than that the vocals could use some work ;)

Awesome tune.

Thanks!

Being a bassist i really didn't like the bass intro or the line. It doesn't have that low growl i like =/ Vocals weren't really my cup of tea other. not bad though.

Low growl is tough to do. And replicating my original tone on the original recording was... proving itself quite difficult. I gave it my best shot... honest.

Well... its metal :D I like the lyrics, but I have to agree with the others it needs some cleaning up. Once you've done that, this song will kick donkey!
