Describe to us the substantial differences between an Open and a Closed network and maybe we can all help you make an informed decision.

  1. A semi closed network would be private in which the only way to see the network is by subscribing.
  2. A full closed network would mean only friends can see profiles. However, I don't think this approach would work on this site. This site is about discovery.
  3. An open network would mean guests can browse.

I think the network should be an open network. If the site is truly intended on discovery, a closed network would lessen the chances of that - greatly, I think.

Is there any way to set our stuff or profiles to be "closed" or "open" ?

I like the idea of the network being open, but don't like the idea of putting my scores "out there" without some control....

I dunno....DOUBLE STANDARD FOR MEE!!!

You mean you would like an option to hide your pieces, or show specific pieces to friends?

Kind-of.

I suppose, ideally a check box for each individual piece when you're uploading: "make this work public or private?" or something...where "private" is viewable by friends only... or at the very least "by registered users only"

I dunno.

Or, just have it as a more universal: "all my pieces are private" ...

If it's a big deal don't worry about it!! I don't know how intense the coding side would be for something like that...

I DO think, however, that I would prefer making my stuff viewable by registered users, not the entire world.

Not sure why, but at the moment, 'Record Hall' is VERY laggy for me, so I won't be doing much reviewing until it's fixed.
