Kung Fu Panda - Soundtrack

Yes, you heard me. It's a joy to listen to.

Obviously, because this is YC, countless people will appear who are tempted to bash it because it's Hans Zimmer and John Powell and therefore embodies the antithesis of "real" and "honest" and "original" music. Granted.

But hot damn is it ever entertaining to listen to. Check it out this track (a nice suite) and you'll find the rest on YouTube as well if you're interested. Enjoy it! :happy:

Lol sounds like a good laugh; John Powell is generally a pretty safe hands and seems like he's injected the score with a bit of vitality and playfulness that Zimmer sometimes lacks.

I'd have to call it pretty badass.

But pretty much all professional movie scores are badass to me. I'm not too discriminating of a listener.

I'm not overly fond of his music.

Whether or not anyone agrees, this reminds me of the Soul Caliber III soundtrack WAY too much...

Either way it is great music!

Wow, I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. But damn, that was good. Personally, I never had a problem with Hans Zimmer. His scores are derivative but he writes entertaining music nonetheless and that's really all I ask for in a movie score.

John Powell left a lasting impression for me with Horton Hears a Who. This time the two guys team up! Great indeed!
