Piano trio in G for clarinette,Viola and Piano

Featured Replies

Please enjoy listening to this as much as i did writing it.

Piano Trio in G major.MUS

I'll gladly listen if you post a MIDI file...

It's very simple. Just go to "save as" and change the file type to MIDI and thar you go.

this is a very nice pice, there are some good ideas in it, even if i must say that here and there you could have put some more notes into certain bars that make the melody lead to nothing... and WHERE'S THE REST???

Thank you for the compliment!

Unfortunately i cant afford the whole version of Finale...so i wrote as much as i could!

And the piece does need a little revision...its in its infancy right now.

For instance i'm going to add an ADAGIO introduction when i get around to it!...

You dont know who youre talking to;i play all three instrument for which this piece is written.

Can i hear some of your pieces;please?...perhaps then i'd learn about direction?...

Ive played viola in some of the FINEST orchestras in SAn FRANCISCO...

What ensembles have you played with....please tell...

Your fantasia for flute harp and viola is proof to me that you dont know a THING when it comes to modulations...What the hell is the DIRECTION of that piece?

And its key...if youd be so kind...isssss?...

Did you blow all your cash on drugs?

I mean, how hard would've it been to save some money and buy finale proper, if you're so god-damn prestigious (and amazing, and the next mozart)?

send me 600 dollars for said"Proper copy of finale" and i'll send you a song worth as much.

Stop the insults please...if youd be so MOLTO GENIROSO...

SERIOUSLY.

*tsk tsk*

Now now, I thought you were going to be a good boy.

That said...

You seem to have mired yourself pretty deeply into a tonal world. Don't start scalloping at people because they don't write music with a clearly defined key centre. Stay on your side of the fence (albeit the small side)...

Oh, if you can write a single song that's worth 600 USD, why can't you afford finale? You should just write a couple of those, sell'em and bingo!

Right?

Well i may have my mind strictly in the tonal world...but if it werent for the tonal world there would not be an (UGH) atonal one.

It worked quite well for hundreds of years so.......

All the worlds greatest pieces are tonal-the ratio of great works in tonality to those that aren't is EXACTLY 99.999% to .0001 %.

And i have taught viola...it was a requirement of the Arts high school i graduated from.

Corbin is just trying to give his opinion about your work. You can choose not to take his advice, but don't be offended when people point out what they perceive as flaws in your works. After all, he may be right. If you go into music, or anything else, you're going to face criticism, and you have to realize that you aren't always right. No need to get defensive.

Ummm....no. You're wrong. How much atonal music, and not including random crap, have you heard, anyway? There is lots of great tonal music and lots of great atonal music.

Sockpuppet.

Please dont use my thread to promote your own works mr sockpuppet...thats MOST distasteful...

Don't you insult Mr Sockpuppet, man. He doesn't like it.

LOL

and your qualifications ARE......

Umm their qualificiations are better than your qualifications, being as they're both relatively senior (ok, they've been here longer than I have, and are respected as qualified at what they say) to you.

You SAY that you've played with San Fransisco's finest, you SAY that you're working with two of the upper echelon string quartets in America, and you SAY that you can churn out pieces worth $600... and not even Bach or Mozart did the latter...

So, STOP SAYING things that you can't finitely prove online when you're talking to us, and START giving us real data that backs up any (or better yet all) of the major claims that you've stated- including that one about tonality vs. atonality.

And I was nice enough not to give you the thrashing you deserved when you apologized on the invention post... sheesh.

The only thing that would qualify them as better than me is if they can compose great music!

Yeah... great in whose eyes... yours or the rest of the world's?

Hmmm I heard your piece. Quite enjoyable, but it seems that there are lot and lots of parallel octaves going on in your piano bass.

and uh, the repeated notes are, kinda mind numbing.

PS: Keep your comments to yourself, please. No one will flame you when you think you're the best. No harm in that. Just don't say that out, 'cos, even if you are the best, modesty is advised.

and in such a extremely subjective world such as music, you cant really say that of yourself.

  • Author

please point out said parralell octaves by measue number.

Repeated notes?...which ones are you speaking of?......

Umm, the parallel octaves would be the parts where two instruments are playing the same lettered notes at the same time.

If you're so good, oh Great Apollo of Music, then that shouldn't be hard to find.
