I think you have a really nice little piece here...it's a good start to a composing life. You have some nice ideas, I especially enjoy the interplay between the feeling of 2 versus 3, it's very pretty. You do however, do some unexpected things. The right hand almost feels like it's in 4...belying your 3/4 time signature. That may be exactly what you want, but be sure to make that decision consciously. The feeling does get repetitive after awhile, and you need some more harmonic variation to keep the listener's attention. All in all...i think it's pretty successful for a first attempt...would like to hear some more output from you.

the melody is charming indeed.

Thanks. I have a habit of sticking to simple harmonic progressions at times. For the next one that I am writing I am not going to use borrow chords progessions....haha

Beethoven called. He wants his triplets back!

LOL!

But I must say, I like this. The triplets sound like Phillip Glass, but thank goodness this has a melody over it :)

Your beat is fairly Glass-ish. But, that is often a trait of many minimalist composers. It comes with the hypnotic effect of arpp. broken chords unchanging for a while. Otherwise, it's a nice piece. Not much development, but that's not what you were going for, I guess.
