Good, but short. Maybe to un-modern for me, but oh well :P

Oh, and that avatar of yours is really weird :P

Intriguing. I think the song has a good length to it.

I'm no sure about the leading run -- just seems a bit silly. Maybe because of the midi (if it is?) Great counterpoint, nice use of the left hand. Great harmonic stuff... this is pretty sick actually, especially for something so not my style.

Some of the tempo changes are a bit abrupt, maybe some playing with accels and decels might clear it up.

That run is still kinda sticking in my craw, but I see how it's pretty key to the piece...

Neat stuff.

I like the energy of this piece. I think it would benefit from a distinctive theme. What you have could work great as part of the development. It lacks form, to me.

Wow! That was really great! There was so much melodic content in that, it kept me very interested from start to finish. It reminded me of an ascension up some dark spire with blazing lights chasing someone.

I found this actually to be an interesting mix of somewhat modern and very classical styles. I thought it was pretty unique.

I especially like the ending. There's one chord you have in there that works so well. If you had a PDF I'd be able to tell you exactly what it is.

Fantastic job!

ah!

I listened to this before, and liked it, but did not say so ;) at times it reminds me a bit f beethoven.

nothing much constructive to add.

I would say, if you want to learn to compose: start writing, planning, putting your themes in a sensible order instead of "just slap the keys until something tangible comes of it". Thats improving, which is nice, but something entirely different than composing.

It's great! I like that it doesn't stop, but still retains a beat/rhythm of sorts. I definitely agree with Ferkunga that you made good use of the left hand.

I like the many styles this piece takes as inspiration. I hear romanticism, jazz, pop, and modern influences throughout. Would really love a score of this to analyze. Sounds very nice though.

Look at my BFF Dankk getting the praise he deserves.

hi,

i'm new too,

at first i thought that it was a reproduction of 'filight of the bumblebee' with those long and fast runs,

after the dramaic opening i felt a bit let down becauseit was suddenly slower and for me, less exciting.

despite this i loved the ending, the long runs at the begining became relevant and i agree about the accels, rits, ect. this would really help.

oh, and dont get the wrong end of the stick, i liked it a lot.

As far as the piece:

The opening run was unnecessary.

Its got some nice potential, though it seems a bit rough and primitive so far. You need to refine how the chords interact. There was a couple nice harmonic changes, but for the most part, it was the same few chords over and over, and it got boring after the 1:30 mark. Keep expanding on it; perhaps add a slow section or some more melody.

The ending I pedal triplet was the corniest thing in the world.

I'd like to see some better development of the harmony in this -- you seem infatuated with that chord pattern, and some movement to somewhere might give it a stronger force through the percussive parts

The break is alright, but i'd like to hear some material reinterpreted a few ways throughout.

The C section, the more traditional section, might need less "autopilot."

The ending needs to stick. That's something that the box.net autorepeat lets you hear -- what is or isn't a "finality," even if it's not a stereotype.

Not bad, I'd like to hear some of the later stuff you do in this style.
