hello im abdullah zibdeh , from Jordan - middle east. ive been a percussionist for around 8 years, a guitarist for 5 years and recently i picked up the piano :D , i started composing last year , and i have composed around 1 hour of music , i love classical music , heavy metal (weird combination):P , oriental experimental music not the stupid commercial oriental stuff! i won the 3rd place in a solo playing contest (national wide) , and i won the 1st place with my local band (oriental music) in a group playing contest.and some other more.:cool:

My name's Jake, and my friend pointed me towards this site, said it has some cool info. I mostly write/compose music for performing, been doing that for about 3 and a bit years now, but I am starting to write music for video games! At the moment i'm just getting clips of games and re-writing the music, and the sound effects etc, and it's heaps of fun. My defult, and most loved instrument is the piano, but I also play guitar and love to sing even if i'm not spot on all the time haha.

I'm Alex, 19. I live in Ontario, Canada. I've been in music ever since I was a child. My father is a conductor and music professor, so it runs in the family. I've been playing electric and classical guitar for about 4 and a half years now, and recently started composing.

Uhhh...my main influences are Beethoven, Chopin, Paganini, Bach, Liszt, etc. And I also enjoy classic rock such as Beatles, Queen, Zeppelin, and Supertramp.

I'm glad I found this forum so I could share my music, and listen to others'. And if you're on Ultimate-Guitar forums, hit me up. Same username.

Hello everyone!! Yay my first post!! And i'm going to stop using !!'s now.. :blush:

I'm 21 (just) and I study vocals at a conservatorium in Australia. I have played violin since I was 6, and I taught myself viola after I picked it up one day and realised it was NOT a violin. Love the richer tones and its most magnificence resonance... Am also beginning to teach myself cello, and tinkering on piano.

I'm just starting to find my composition feet, when I happily stumbled across this site. Hope to make some new friends and inspirational ppl who can guide me :toothygrin:

I'm currently undergrad, but wont be anymore come May (gently caress), and I'll have a degree in composition. Not sure whose idea that was.

Currently working on my thesis, which is a ~10 minute piece scored for chamber orchestra, based loosely on an Old Norse Poem.

Yes I recognise you - I think it was a dream. It involved Giles, a cup of tea, and a long piece of spaghetti. Ring any bells?

Oh, and the font is tolerable if I tilt my screen and squint my eyes, pausing briefly between each word to rub them excessively.

I can't remember if I introduced myself so I guess that I am going to do it now and if I did do it before then I am doing it twice!

Name's Ash (Dalesh Kowlesar, but Ash is just easier and more pleasant). What do i like. Mmmm, music, music, MUSIC! I love composing, I have a passion for all things that 'sound' lol.

I live in Stockton-on-Tees, a town in the north-east of England.

I've joined this forum hoping to find a bit of inspiration and to network with other songwriters, mainly because I've found myself rather short of either in the last few years. I'm finally in a position where I can afford the latest music technology but lately I haven't been able to write the lyrics I need to give my compositions some structure and a reason to finish them.

Hopefully, that's just a temporary problem but I'd certainly be interested in hearing from others about they overcome creative barriers of this kind.

I am registered here for a while but I don't remember if I introduced myself. If not then my apologises :)

I'm Mariusz Jasionowicz and I am a freelance composer. But I am also arranger, producer, sound programmer and performing artist/vocalist.

And of course a husband and father of two (daughter 13 years old, son 5 months old)

I am connected with music since very early age. I use to do music in various styles such as dance, house, ambient, ethnic, orchestral. However since around 2 years I am mostly focused on game music.

At present I work on some indie projects but I am also studying Music Technology at De Monfort university.
