I joined a few months ago but ive been ghosting around. Now ive made my first song and im ready to post.

My name is Joe, im Mark's friend and thats pretty much it. Im a little nervous so please dont eat me or anything :D

Um, yeah I have recently had a whack at composing some songs. Maybe I'll might plug in the guitar and the mic and record them for you guys to shred to peices. :P

I'm Bill, from Brazil. My name is not actually Bill (or William), but as this is the english correspondent to my brazilian name, you can call me that around here :P .

I play the piano (mostly), and I enjoy composing music, but as I'm still learning a few basics, reading books and stuff, I'll probably comment on people's works, rather than posting my own for a while.

Hope to learn a lot and contribute with what I already know.

I also play piano. My Portuguese is limited to a few phrases though (Eu gusto musica!). I'm also relatively new, and have found the forums a rewarding experience so far. Anyways, Welcome to YC!

I'm Dorian and I'm from Drance. I play the piano a bit and compose music. Actually, I'm trying to learn most of the knowledge I'm missing to do music the way I would like to, and that's how I got here.

I'm interested in composing since I often spontaneous compose in my head and feel bad when I can't write it. I hope I can learn some stuffs from here :laugh:

Hey guys. I'm a professional composer who is constantly writing music. I always have ideas in my head and new pieces to finish. Something interesting about me is I can't seem to stick with one piece - I am alway working on multiple pieces because (as I mentioned) I always have new ideas in my head. I am 20 years old and am nearing completion to a BS in music as well as a BA in interdisciplinary studies (with a concentration in fine and performing arts). I hope to obtain a MA and Doctorate in composition.

Anyway, Just wanted to say hi and let you guys know a little bit about me.

I'm Ralph, from Trier/Germany and I'm 18 years old. I'm going to study composition when I'm finished with school.

I'm working on a major work at the moment, a "classical" symphony in C major, of which 3 movements are already finished yet. I've opened a thread in the orchestral forum for that. Next piece will be a sonata for trombone and piano which I will play with a friend (trombone player) at the school concert.

Hello, I'm Daniel or Dangles. I've been here over a month but never discovered this thread. I play piano, clarinet and guitar but I'm an inferior performer because I rarely practise. Instead I love to write music. I'm also write songs for a band I'm in. Oh and I'm in my final year of Melbourne High School in Victoria. No clue what I'll study at Uni. I'm better at writing but I prefer composing.

If you enjoy composing, then study it at the uni. It's tough work, but tough work for a passion is easier than light work for a distaste.

Hey, my name is Christopher, but most people call me CJ (sorry to any other CJs on this site.) I've been composing for just a few weeks now, so I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm a jazz pianist and singer, and I play lots of other instruments to a decent level that allows me to pick them up and jam a bit. For some reason I seem to always compose in a half pop-half classical style, even though it is music I don't listen to! I also love composing for oboe, because I love its sound, even though I know nothing about oboes. If you ever want to compose something together or teach me about oboes then tell me!
