Hi, I'm Dbzogd9. I don't like to give out personal info, but I'd like to share my musical skills. I've been a clarinet player for 8 years now and am a sophomore at the University of Oregon, getting a Bachelor's of Music for Music Composition. I gained interest in composing when my band director introduced me to Sibelius my sophomore year there. Now I can't get away from it. Going to school here and having a social life is really hard to do here at the UO, so I haven't gotten that much composing done, although my interest still burns within me. While I'm studying here, I'm learning also Keyboarding and Aural skills as well as history knowlegde, etc., etc. This next fall, I'm excited because I'm going to begin my 3 years of Composition classes! This site looks like a good one to be in and I'm excited to join it.

Hello all! My name is Marius, I'm 15 and I've been composing for about 6 years now.

I play piano and keyboard synth for a band called Eve of Exile and I write game music.

I'm going to start posting some of my works so keep an eye out for them and let me know what you think, I'm very eager to have an audience for my pieces, I don't tend to share my music :P *growls*

Where shall I begin? Well, my name is Brittney.

the forums. I have been home schooled by

both of my parents throughout my entire

eighteen years of life. (In the state of Texas,

to be exact.) I, personally feel I have gained

quite a bit of moral standards for myself. (As

First of all, let me take back what I said about Glass----he is a very skilled composer, and in no way do I have a right to criticize him. Music is certainly very alive right now. There are many composers far more talented than me----I'm really just an amateur.

We can't support mp3s here at the moment - bandwidth issue - and we're limited to 1MB in attachment space.

What kind of music do you write? If you have your own webspace, you can post links to your pieces here in any of the appropriate sub-fora.

Hi my names Adrian and I'm 12. I play 6 instruments now. Piano, violin, Guitar, Harmonica, and saxaphone. I'm just a beginner at sax and harmonica but Piano i've been playing since i was 4 and Violin since Grade 4. Guitar, only about a year and I've been starting a band with my friends.

I'm fairly new to composition though.

I'm from Vancouver, Canada and I think i'm gogint o take an ARCT for piano sometime....

Hey everyone, I'm Andrew 17 from Lafayette, Louisiana. I'm involved in band at school and music and electronics is what I do. I'm a Highschool student at St. Thomas More Highschool. I play Alto sax in the marching band, jazz band, and concert band. I play a few other things on occasion, but that's the instrument I practice consistently. Does anyone else use Sibelius, or just me?

I'm in washington state, I'm going to central washington university taking music, playing violin and piano, and during the summer I commercial fish with my parents and most of my extended family in a small fishing village in Alaska.

I like long walks on the fireplace, an evening at home with a good restaurant, and a nice candle-lit book.

Well everyone seemed to mention everything musical so I guess I have to too

I used to play the violin but I quit because the teacher was a scallop. I took piano lessons for 2-3 years but quit because the teacher was a scallop. She ATE infront of me!! That's just mean. And she wasted a lot of my classes.

a. She always prolonged the student before me's class, which took up the first 1/4 of my class. The kid was a good piano player but cmon, I didn't suck THAT much did I??

b. She was always like "ooh just wait a minute, I didn't have luuunch." Eat on your own time, prissy, I'm PAYING you.

c. She would frequently waste half my class talking on the phone instead of teaching me

So anyway this isn't much of an introduction so far.

I'm 16.5, from Canada. I'm a health freak, I've had my cat since I was 5 years old and he's uber smart, and my mum once told me I should be a comedian. And.. yeah. That pretty much sums up my life.
