hi people

my name is Robert, i'm 18 and i'm from Croatia. I started playing piano couple years ago, and i started attending music high school or whatever you guys call it in english :whistling: i'm 2nd year now. i also play percussive instruments a bit, and probably will very soon start playing organ.

i'm very interested in composing, mostly in the baroque, classic and romantic style, but i like atonallity as well, although not as much.

i do not have any pieces yet to share, but hopefully with some tips from you guys that might soon become a reality.

My name is Nathan and I am a young filmmaker who is currently making films for fun. My college major is currently undecided but I am strongly considering changing it to film. I have always loved music and have been playing the alto saxophone for over eight years. As you can see I'm new here and I hope to find a talented composer here that would be interested in working for only credit. Like I said, I'm new and I hope this is not against any policies here and if they are I appologize and am sorry for wasting your time. I think that it would be great for the young composers to work with other people to create one solid piece of art.

I'm not looking for an immediate composer but I'm just kind of seeing what's out there. I have a few projects in the wroks but nothing that is in immediate need of a soundtrack. I cant really say exactly what I want style-wise but for one of my serious projects that I'm working on right now I KNOW I want a Philip Glass style score. For some of my more comedic projects I'm more open to styles but I'm a big Danny Elfman fan.

If anyone can tell me what section of the forum I should post my suggestion in I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

I know these aren't perfect and that's what learning is all about. In the future I plan on improving sound and lighting among other things.

Welcome. You should start listening around and commenting on what you think, even if you don't have suggestions for improvement.

I "like" so and so part of a piece, or don't like, that helps too.

I got myself a keyboard in August 2007, and I'd like to compose a bit.

Hi, I am not sure my earlier message got posted. So I thought I'd write in again to say hello.

I am Konrad Fernandez, 32. Based in Chennai, India. Can't play any instrument and don't have any musical training, but I've managed to read up and understand some basics so I attempt to compose anyway.

I hope some day to write great music. I also write in general (wrote a non fiction book some years ago), love nature, art and absolutely worship the great masters of music. More later. Looks like a great place to be. I hope to interact more with all of you.

Hi guys... I am Fiona... I'm a Phil student. A music student. It's my 3rd year in college. My major's Voice and minor's piano. I just turned 18

When i was First year i was able to pass the regionals in a competition NAMCYA... National Music Competition for young artists. I'm currently joining other local voice competitions... just for experience and of course it would be nice to win.

I can also play the violin, cello ( just started my lessons), some ethnic instruments of our country, piano and a little bit of guitar. I haven't made composing my hobby but it's really my dream to compose songs, music and other stuff like that.

Recently i had my first composition. It's for our Contemporary music subject and it was played just weeks ago... by a pianist friend of mine. It was kinda good...

I am Mary Ann and I am no longer young. I've been composing off and on since high school, and am lucky enough to have had a couple of small things published. However, I have much to learn of the craft of composition, and continue to slave away at that as time permits. I have degrees in music (violin) and later engineering (EE) and I make my living as an engineer; that is very time-and-energy-consuming so I don't spend as much time working on my composing as I would like.

I found this forum when I was searching for online help with Finale, and I'll be posting a question about that in whatever section of the forum appears appropriate.

I joined because I am looking for some kind of outlet for my 5th grade students compositions. They are simple 16 measure compositions that I record into mp3 format. I already saw you cannot put mp3's here, but I am still trying to figure out if this is an appropriate outlet for that kind of composition? It doesn't really look like there is a category they will fit into, am I right?

you could always throw them into something like unfinished works for suggestions, or into things like incidental music. or hell, into whatever category you would like, but as long as they are relatively well written. anyhow, you can ask about that in off topic :huh:

i am angela , i think ... you guy saw or you guy have saw my perosnal informations . i am a classical composer in hong kong , and i am very willing to share my music to you guy . i have learn music on my father and other composers in hong kong before , and i am now try to finsih the music degree program in hong kong ...i used to use finale to compose for now , becasue i am beginning ..lazy ... i composed music by papers ......before .. but meanwhile .. i guess it wasted too much paper and kill too many trees .. and then make the earth become a oven... no way .. i am very freindly .. and i am not beethoven,, he is a bad temper person,, i really want to chat any friend on this website .... specially .. composer .. this website have a lot of great composers here .. i am very exciting to enter this website ,, becasue i am so so love in music and i really want to share all music lover
