Hi, I

Welcome new members!

Unfortunately the moderators spend a lot of money trying to run this site, and they ask for a small amount from each member. As Treasurer of YC, please PM me when you have the 6 U.S. dollars available to complete registration.

Wow, how many times have I done this....

Are you serious? If let me know how I may redress this as I haven't paid any dues. (Taking this seriously as I read what Chopin paid for future improvements to the site and I am humbled by his generousity)

Hi, I'm Arturas Saskinas living in Europe(Lithuania). I don't have any musical knowledge/education. I easy composing 5 voices fugue, and I find that fugue can be 7 voices. I have absolute and "in" ear and I'm playing with piano. At this time I'm living in my recording studio.

Hey everyone, I'm Jay, I'm 17, and from Australia :)

I play mainly trombone and euphonium, but lately I have been dabbling a little bit in the Piano too.

I've tried to compose my own works, but I feel like I won't be getting anywhere unless I start getting help from people like yourselves who can help me.

I look forward to meet each of you on the board :)

-Jay

Please stick around :)

i might; i'm not sure at the moment...

Well, I decided to post here my first post.

I'm Kimi Niittymaa from Finland (yes, I'm a male, my name can be a little confusing, since in most other countries it's female's name, in Finland, male's).

I'm 14 years old, and I've been playing acoustic guitar from the end of the year 2007, which means, I'm pretty new to it (unless someone reads this post like in the year of 2020?), I've got also an electric guitar and a keyboard.

I started composing in somewhere from April to June of 2008. I will probably post my work on these forums some day. Also, I think, I haven't used any money during my compositions. I've used free Finale Notepad, no upgrades, nothing. I think, there would be better composing programs, but well, Notepad works just fine! (Expect the drums, which you'll need to enter the notes really low, which makes it to look really bad. Sounds right, though. Gotta admit, it's great a program!)

I'm dreaming to be a video game composer, one day. I may change my mind (I do it a lot!), though.

Hmm, what else? Pretty much, that's it. If you've got something to ask, feel free. Though, I doubt, that anyone has.

Hello.

I am Laura.

I have never composed any full length peices... I have only ever made it to about the 4th measure. But I have been taking piano lessons for most of my life, but I have not progressed as much as I should. My real love is singing and dancing.

Hi ! My name is Thanut Vadhanasiripong. I live in Thailand. My favorite composer is Franz Liszt.

I was born on 21/2/1985 at BKK Christian hospital, but I am Budhism.

My favorite hobby rather than music is pet the animals, such as fish and cats.

I started playing piano when I was at the age of fifth, my first formal composition was written when I was thirteen.

Mostly, my music compositions were composed for solo piano. However, there are some for orchestra.

Nice to meet you ... Thanut(Boeing) Vadhanasiripong

Hi, I'm Bob Lee, also known as Bobby Lee and b0b. I run the Steel Guitar Forum. I have recently been learning to play marimba, vibraphone and hand percussion instruments.

Looking forward to participating in this site. It looks great!!

Hello, My Name is Dillon from New York... Im 16 years old and have been composing since i was 14. Ive been playing piano for almost 3 years now and i learn from my father. Im a junior in high school and take 6 classes of music. Im in the high school band and choir.

Music is my passion and my life, My plan in life is too become a famous composer so i can share my music with others and my passion with music to the world. I was inspired mostly to write music from a composer named Nobuo Uematsu. A composer who writes music for videogames, such as the Final Fantasy Games. Most of the music i write now if u listen would sound like videogame music because thats what inspired me to write in the first place.

I have written band pieces for our school band to perform on open night. A great success it was and I was so happy people enjoyed a piece I wrote. I have recently sent that piece into the Frank ticheli Compisition Contest. Im hopeing i will place atleast.

I currently take private compostion lessons from my band director, and take music theory in school. Ive been taking compistino lessons for almost 2 years now. Im young and still need to learn alot, but i think im very talented for my age to be writing like i do. Well, thats really all about me...

Helluuuu.

I'm Daniel. I've been composing since the age of 3, -- I'm currently 13 -- and I primarily play that piano, cello and ocarina.

My father is a professional musician, therefore, I live and breathe music. It's my entire life.

In software... I currently use Sibelius and GPO.

That's all I guess...

-Daniel

Hello... Name is Clint. Been composing for a while now. Just thought i'd post in the hello thread. Currently Play the Tuba.

Hey I'm Callum, I'm 16 and have been playing the guitar for nine years now. I haven't done much composing, and that's why I joined, to get ideas and inspiration.

I've just started an A level in music, and for that I have to compose two pieces.

I actually joined ages ago, but have only just rediscovered this. I'm hoping to receive advise from everone here at YC.

:)
