Arpeggia no. 2 in a minor

This is one of my compositions. The tempo is confusing, but please understand.Hope you enjoy it!

Arpeggia no. 2 in a minor

I didn't think the tempo was confusing at all. I think you used ABAC form, but it's hard to tell without a score. Your melodies are interesting and satisfying. I just think the constant force and drive gets a bit bland after a while. I would have written the contrasting themes to be lighter, as opposed to the dark and intense arpeggios that recur throughout the piece. Doing that would make the intense passages more effective.

I like the arpeggio you have as a sort of theme.

I would agree with Paranoid in that the second section/theme should be much lighter to really contrast and change it up. May I suggest removing the low octave in the left hand for this theme, either just have the higher note on it's own or move the octave shape up an octave.

Besides that it's a very cool piece with a very nice ending.

Bravo! :phones:

Hey we're all beginners at some point! I'm still well under a year of composition my self ;)

I look forward to seeing the score.

Hey, this is really good for just a beginner. Kept me interested the entire time, sure the harmonies are fairly simple, but it sounds great. Kinda reminds me of something Beethoven would write. Anyways, great job.

Hello,

My thoughts on this composition:

I can't wait to see the score for this. :) I want to attempt to play it.

I like the second theme, very different than the first...sounds,...Happy.

I love the LH Melody in the beginning.

Are there any dynamics in this piece? This second theme should be more quiet than the first getting louder back to the recap of the second theme back to soft, then those fast notes crescendo (maybe?)

This piece would sounds way better with dynamics. Dynamics make a difference in music. (Maybe they're there but not played on this recording???? Left it for the pianist to interpret it???)

Overall, great piece, can't wait for the score, I would love to attempt to play it. However, my left hand isn't my strongest even if I'm a lefty...So it will be a little tough on your piece for me. I'm going to listen to it again in a while and see if I can come up with anymore comments to post on your piece. I just woke up right now (late, I know)...so I can't really think very well right now.

Great job for being a beginner. My first year composing, lets just say people didn't like what they heard and was impossible to play....just now after 6 years, they are getting better but still have parts that need change....But they are 100% better than when I was first starting, so great job!

This is very good work! My first piece wasn't near as good, I think

This would definitely be entertaining to watch a live performer play this!

The arpeggios are fascinating, and almost endlessly entertaining to hear and watch...but I would have liked there to be more musical techniques used. What you have already is nice, and very well developed but you could easily vary your theme by switching between arpeggios and varied chords. Milk your compositions for all they're worth, sir! :D Just something to consider.

Thanks for sharing, nice piece! :)

Many thanks to everyone! This is actually the 3 piece that I have composed since I started composing, so I was highly influenced my Beethoven. As of now, I have learned and gained more techniques, but I would be applying those in my other pieces.

Sorry for not having the score. After several months of being "busy", I think I have to edit everything in this piece again. But I will soon upload a score.

Once again, thanks! :)
