oh i like the instrumentation here. it starts like a baroque fugue, the round. the idea of spring starting small and adding more works well yes. it is lovely when the flute comes in. this is well thought out only maybe i would have a contrasting non-round part at some point sooner or in a next movement with this being shorter. having guitar and flute together was best part very nice. i also like the modal harmonies - the end sounds interrupted and needs more of spring good work

Thanks for constructive comments. Had to keep it short, under 3 minutes, to submit to a contest which has a time limit. That's why no extra section and maybe somewhat sudden ending.

This is obviously made specifically for the purpose of "rounds", and it is absolutely wonderful. Displacing a single note would absolutely lessen the overall piece.

And another thing that deeply impresses me is that the piece doesn't feel even remotely one-dimensional, or stagnant, even with the very limited 12 bars of notes. There's a sort of minimalist quality to this baroque piece (and I never would have put the two together in a million years, as the two are generally fundamentally different styles) that is so beautifully exploited that I can't help but favorite the piece (and 10/10! ;))

The piece sort of starts off like a lone person kicking around the leaves, bored...then slowly coming to a sort of understanding of the beauty of the world around him (the piece has an organic, earthy feel, I believe), as even seemingly simple things can carry greater complexity than one may think at first.

I REALLY like this piece. I mean, you'd think with only 12 bars repeated over and over it would get boring, but the instrumentation really livens it up. I think the way that each new instrument has such a new feeling from the last, it really keeps it fresh. It seems to have lots of layers to it, and the different planes of sound are very clearly defined. Good work!
