Onaleworhina

Onaleworhina is a short piece written for three guitars. Hoping to venture outside of my own style of writing, I looked to Debussy and Ravel for inspiration and reference, challenging myself to experiment with unfamiliar harmonies and progressions. Some of the difficulties I experienced while writing this piece were form, continuation and development; I struggled to fill the minute-and-half with music. I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Please also point out any awkward fingerings/pitch combinations for the guitar.

This is a very creative exploration of impressionistic harmony and progression. Keep writing this stuff, Debussy and Ravel were great.

Since you ask about guitar fingerings, converting to TAB would be an easier way to see, as most guitarists are not classical guitarists, but from what I can see, the only exceptionally tricky thing you've done is the parellel 6ths. That would be pretty difficult to play.

I love the harmony! I think the form and repition gets a little boring after hearing the opening motive 4 or 5 times. Other than that, I think it's a wonderful piece.

I think this piece is rad! It's nice and fresh to my ears and I would have loved for it to have been longer.

It sounds so completely relaxed, and laid-back!

--I love how meticulously you've added articulations! If the midi's sound quality weren't so iffy, I wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't played by a human ;) Very nice job!

--The chord progression is so floaty and warm: it lends to the atmosphere of being on some sort of exotic, paradisaic island of some sort :happy:

--I almost wish there was some bitter thrown in to this sweet, to give it more pull and contrast. Some wistfulness drizzled into this piece would serve as a wonderful spice or accent to the piece.
