May 28, 201016 yr After one of my music friends on YouTube, John (AKA Pertinacious One) made an awesome boss battle theme, it inspired me to make my own high-charged, over-the-top, epic boss battle-type theme. I mix some mildly atonal and disjointed parts with a heavy rhythm. May 28, 201016 yr Nice work, bud! I liked the vocals, that was a neat touch. I found it started to drag halfway in...there wasn't really any significant development or change of any sort going on so it was like listening to an energetic loop. It works with frenetic gameplay, but just listening to it on its own is kind of tiresome. If you really wanted it to be heavier, you should have added more stuff to it; get some layering going on, some counterlines, some polyrhythms, etc. Bring up the intensity. Still, a solid little track. Well done! :)

May 28, 201016 yr thats really good . i like what you did with the piano ! it totally gives a mysterious adventurous feeling to the piece . this would really work for a game music . great job

May 28, 201016 yr This is really cool Serge. Reminds me of something you might hear in the Devil May Cry videogame series. It really has that big cold haunted vibe to it. I like the piano work in here, but I really didn't like the sounds in general. What libraries did you use? Also you might want to throw in a bit more percussion, some big toms, taiko drums or something like that. Just to give it more punch. And you definitely need an electric guitar (it was a joke, but when I come to think of it, it just might work with this)

June 9, 201016 yr Excellent work, Serge! I loved the bit of 5/4 harmony around 2:07, entirely threw off my expectations. Also, the choice of piano was perfect with such an emotional piece. The constant grind of the 16th notes made it clear that this was meant for a frenetic and tense scene, particularly apt for a boss battle. The emotional interlude sections were excellent, and I loved your chord progressions that repeat in these sections (1:30 for example.) One thing that I could say could improve would be that the 16th notes sometimes feel as if they die out too quickly when moving into these slower sections. I am only saying this because there is nothing else I can point out that is flawed in my opinion, this song is a great piece of work!

June 10, 201016 yr I did write quite a message about this then my pc crashed Basically what came to mind when I listened was a big epic battle scene between the gods (one of those epic war scenes that you get in movies) and it fitted really well. I do agree that it would be good with some big percussion, probably some war drums to drive forward the battle theme. But it is a great piece.
