A service I'm offering

Featured Replies

Hello,

I own EWQL gold (orchestra) library and a Synthogy Ivory (piano) library. Often some beautiful pieces posted on YC don't come to their full MIDI potential. If you have a piece and would like me to run them through the above mentioned libraries I'm willing to do that. I will only put some reverb on them, nothing difficult. So if you have a MIDI I can download, I will upload you a MP3.

I don't expect anything in return, but I will offer you a way of tipping me. Make sure you understand you won't have to and I will also render your pieces if you don't tip, but the option is here:

https://flattr.com/thing/26485/Service-for-rendedering-MIDI-thru-EWQL-andor-Ivory

You can tip by clicking the logo next to it with the number in it.

This Flattr.com concept might also be very interesting for us musicians in a more general way. So, maybe you can aplied it somehow yourself. I'm not trying to advertise, but I think it's something interesting.

Two thumbs up! That is a great idea. There are many pieces here that would sound wonderful given the chance to rise above default midi sounds.

This is an excellent idea, which I believe will prove mutually beneficial to many members of this site. Thanks for posting! Great to have you aboard. :)

ooh, I'd like to be put on the list but not until I have one piece in particular up on the forum. I've been dreading uploading it in midi but I don't want to get in the way of others who have their music up here already.

P.S.

I tried to do add a vote for your Flicka thing, but it would not let me create a user account :( I couldn't get the "invite code" to work: said it was invalid  What do I do?

Thank you SO much for this! I really appreciate it! :D

Yeah, the Flattr.com guys are Beta-testing it. So the'll have to invite you by mail for you to subscribe. But that's allright.

I've pm-ed you about your piece.

Ohh..don't worry. Their is no list at the moment. Just give me the midi and I'll have a look at it.

It's a decent rendering, but I have a version which accents the bass part better, so I'll just keep it as is  But, there are quite a few people on here who would benefit from library updates for their truly awful midi renditions, so thank you so much for your service to us! :D

Yep, it's ment to help these people. I'm not going to the trouble of mixing and mastering. I will just 'update' the sound a bit.

I think this is a great idea, I could really use some HQ renditions--would you consider a few pieces of mine for processing please? :) Btw, could you cater for choral music, with EWQL choral vsts or similar? That, would be fantastic..

Sure, I would. Just tell which ones you want me to process. I don't have choral samples unfortunately.

I'd like to hear how Anno Domination sounds on your MIDI.

Just go to File>Export>MIDI.

Ok, I've had some problems with the rendering, but I got something out of it. I hope there aren't to many glitches. It's become a combination of vst's and midi. This is the best I can do, without mixing and mastering.

I have all the instruments in seperate files. If you want them I could send them to you, so you can mix and master yourself.

Here is the link to your piano concerto you asked me to render.

Hey man thanks for that, VST's youre using sound pretty good, but for whatever reason the piano part is playing back at double speed, so its sorta messes everything up.. I think I'll stick with the rendition I made with Rolands Edirol Orchestral VST. Its not fantastic, a little wooden, but it'll do. Thanks anyway for all the time you put into it mate! Very kind of you :)

Btw,, That track Anno Domination above sounds killer. It's going on my mp3 player right now! ;)

Which version of EWQL Gold do you own? NI or PLAY? I want to know because if you have NI, then I might not need to seek your help, as I myself have the NI version. If you have PLAY I will definitely give you the midi files.

Are MusicXML files also suitable for your software?

No, only midi.
