June 6, 200619 yr I see that there is a some trouble in posting in the Major works section whilst there is work uncompleted. >_< SOOOO, What about making a subfolder for to-be major Works that people want to post as a preview or something. Like maybe.... A Work in progress folder? What do you think???
June 6, 200619 yr I don't think that's what he meant .....but yeah, I think it's a good idea. Perhaps for 50% done or more pieces as a kind of "preview".
June 6, 200619 yr sorry, couldnt help it  i agree with him but we already have something similar (lemme find a link) EDIT: here ye go, this place should do the trick.... Click Here
June 8, 200619 yr You can post uncomplete works in any other folder than the Major Works. There's also a Writer's Block section for pieces just getting started.
June 9, 200619 yr I think people naturally tend to feel better about themselves(like they need it) when they post something in the Major Works threads. Let's not take that elated feeling away from them, NI.
June 9, 200619 yr Incomplete works do not belong in the Major Works thread! It's in the guidelines and everything! If someone is writing a "symphony" and they write the first 12 bars and want it reviewed, it shouldn't be posted in Major Works, even if it will eventually become a 45 minute master work. Keep MW pure.
June 10, 200619 yr I think we should leave the page as it is, but... but...but ...but a little folder with one's major works won't hurt us would it? ;)
June 10, 200619 yr The Major Works forum is for complete compositions which are of significant length and quality. The Writer's Block and Music Suggestions forum is for getting help with something you are working on. To me, the latter is synonymous with a "work in progress" forum. Incidentally, you are permitted to post incomplete works anywhere on the board besides MW.
