~The Forbidden Forest~

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

This is just a short piece which may serve as the introduction to a scene in my musical. It introduces many of the themes to be used in subsequent songs without expanding on them or developing them. It's a little quirky, please enjoy! If you can, listen to the Mp3 as the MIDI sounds like garbage.

a simple theme, kept throughout the piece, expanded upon, and brought to a close....all done very well :P! Good orchestration, I thought, and I loved the bells and stuff, when it brought upon the "expanded" theme, and then some brass instruments built upon that a bit until it climaxed...and then ended quite abruptly . Leading to a scene, that would be fine, though.

Ah, so this is what you posted last night.

Anyway, nice little short piece. It didn't remind me much of a forest, though, and certainly not a forbidden one.

When I first saw the title I thought to an old game called "Forbidden Forest." It had the greatest theme song and I'm still trying to track down a copy of it.

Wow. I like this. But it doesn't seem like a forest, kind of, but not really. Nice though

Reminds me of Lands of Lore a lot and I love that soundtrack.

It has this particular sound... must be something about thwe use of vibes.

Do you happen to know that game?

Anyway, I think it's a nice, little, solid theme. :P

It's nice, it just seems to me that it should be louder, because it sounds like a chase scene or something.

Oh wow, I'd pretty much forgotten about this; it's ancient :P Thank you, yes, that IS the Jaws theme ;) hehehehe

hey man u have played on brasses very well and the basson at the beginning has the sense of following...but for me that is a bit complicated.is it a fantasy genre or a real one?..because it sounds so fictional.

Thank you!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, though I'd recommend you listen to some of my more recent work as well...this thing is pretty old :P I do not play any brass instruments, if that's what you were asking, and it is for a fantasy genre. :)

hey that`s great.I like to hear all of your musics man.About the brasses i don`t mean you play brass.I mean u use them in a good way in your piece...haha...at all i`m goin to hear all of your musics..congrats
