Looking for arrangers- create backing tracks for PD songs

Featured Replies

We're looking for arrangers to create backing tracks for PD songs to be used with a mobile educational game. Pay would be $50/song and we'd need you to transfer rights.

Here's some more info-- if interested, please contact me privately at gistaudio@gmail.com (if there's a particular genre you prefer, please let me know. also, please send a link to your portfolio):

You would chose from a list of well-known public domain songs and provide an arrangement with, a

(1) MIDI melody track;

(2) Audio (AIFF) background track;

(3) OPTIONAL, but ideal, a Logic project file

Lead/melody voice:

The lead voice is a tenor instrument with preferable range around C3 (MIDI #60) -- high of C4 (MIDI #72) and low of G (MIDI #43).

Song length:

Approximately 2:30 - 3:30 minutes.

Instruments:

Realistic software instruments.

Orchestration:

Varied, appropriate to the song and genre.

Style:

Ideally engaging, accessible and fun to someone untrained in music.

Example songs (i.e. from various genres-- american folk, folk/rock, classical, traditional, latin):

John Barleycorn - folk rock style,

House of the Rising Sun - folk rock style,

When the Saints Go Marching In - dixieland jazz style

La Bamba - latin traditional

Gymnopedies - classical

Terms:

NDA and rights transfer

Thanks for your interest. If interested, please contact me privately at gistaudio@gmail.com with a link to your portfolio (or any samples).
