Waltz

Hey there!

Love your little piece. I like the fact the it starts with a dramatic feeling, but then we forget the bad times and everything's jolly haha.

Harmonies seem quite simple, and yea I imagine this piece played on a grand piano :) good job!

Recording? are you trying to lure your audiences in with this? They will associate it with an actual recording, while this is just a midi rendition.

I think this is a nice little piece, maybe add a score so we can read along? the more moving parts (not the beethoven pathetique-like chords in between) are played back pretty annoyingly to my taste. Or you notated it a bit strange. For a simple piece as this, I would recommend keeping the melodies and rhythms not too difficult (either for the pianist or for the ear of the listener). I think it would make more sense if you would just write the rhythm as 3/4 th measures with 3 quarter notes as in a regular waltz.

Maybe you already did but your software played it wrongly, or maybe you actually wrote it different.

You would get this effect you hear in the midi a bit when you play with a heavy accent and light following notes/chords on the 2nd and 3rd beat.

Nice job overall!

Interesting little piece -- it's common to hear contrast and changes in mood in a piece, but it's unusual how sharp the change is. But I actually like the idea for a little miniature like this -- it sounds sort of like something that would be in a Charlie Chaplin movie, where the man is getting mad at Charlie for getting between him and his girl, but the girl is trying to smooth things over  That's probably not what you were going for, but it's just the image I get.

Fun piece! Thanks for sharing :)

(This is a presentation of your piece with a different VST --

Very nice little piece. Serge's rendering makes a huge difference!
