Here's a look at what you may have missed over the last few months, what's new, and what to expect in the coming weeks. PREVIOUSLY RELEASED Wallander Instruments Sound Sets for Wallander Orchestral and Band Brass and Woodwind and Saxophone collections were released back in August of 2010. A third sound set is available that combines both collections into one template that's ready to be used immediately. The Wallander sound sets are based on custom instrument programming and feature: Instant setup with auto-loading Playback Configurations* Extended Playback Dictionary Choir Vowel Switching Automatic 'macro' variation The Wallander sound sets are available as free downloads. Cinesamples VOXOS The Cinesamples VOXOS: Epic Virtual Choirs Sibelius Sound Set is now available. An unprecedented integration, the VOXOS sound set allows complete control of the choir sounds directly from the notation and lyrics* in the score, including full access to all 30 recorded syllables. The sound set features: Complete set of instruments programmed for Sibelius Phrase Building direct from lyrics* Legato and vowel switching House Style with extended playback dictionary, staff types Auto-loading**, manual, and multiple computer setups supported All phrases, FX, shouts and whispers supported The sound set requires: Sibelius 5.2.x, Sibelius 6.x+** Kontakt/Kontakt Player 4.1+ *Responds only to special VOXOS lyric text style included in House Style. **Auto-load requires Sibelius 6.2 or higher The VOXOS sound set is available as a free download. NEW RELEASES Native Instruments Abbey Road Drums Sound sets for Native Instrument's Abbey Road 60's, 70's, and 80's Drums are now available. These sound sets feature: Sample Auto-load* Custom-mapped drum staffs These sound sets require: Sibelius 5.2.x, Sibelius 6.x+* Kontakt/Kontakt Player 4.1+ Abbey Road 60's Drums require v1.1 or higher *Auto-load requires Sibelius 6.2 or higher The Abbey Road Drums sound sets are available individually for US $15.00. Native Instruments Alicia's Keys The Native Instruments Alicia's Keys sound set is now available. Native Instruments Session Strings The Native Instruments Sessions Strings sound set is now available. This sound set features: Sample Auto-load* Extended and edited playback dictionary This sound set requires: Sibelius 5.2.x, Sibelius 6.x+* Kontakt/Kontakt Player 4.1+ *Auto-load requires Sibelius 6.2 or higher The NI Session Strings sound set is available for US $15.00. UPDATES Kontakt 4 Factory Library The Kontakt 4 Factory Library sound set has been updated to v1.1. This update includes several minor fixes and enhancements. The 1.1 update also adds 2 additional sound sets which support use of the Legacy VSL strings. This is a free update for all Kontakt 4 sound set users. Users will receive information on how to obtain the update within 24-36 hours at the email address used for payment.
