Barlines in Sib6

Featured Replies

Well topic says it all: Can I in Sibelius 6 have a double barline for one single instrument or 2 out of an orchestra?

I don't think so, you can only disable the barlines for a staff but not set a different one, you'll have to add the second line as symbol each time you need, but do it when your score is almost done, or all lines will be moving every second.

No... you couldn't do that. Is there any reason you would do that instead of saying tacet to the end?

Yes you can, with symbols. What are you trying to do specifically?

It's because I want to adress specific key changes to individual instruments in a polytonal piece. I think the most simple solution would be to add a line with symbols and freeze magnetic layout.

Another question re: barlines: Can I change the settings to let the barlines go through the whole score to simulate older notation technique?

Just drag the barline's bottom handle through the entire system.
