I would like to be a competitor, please. Is it required that what we write sound Christmas-like? Or can we just write a trio of whatever?

Hello, I would like to participate. 

I'm going to opt out of this competition, so count me out. But I'll gladly be a judge. I simply didn't have any time to devote to composition during December.
