Anthony Johnson
I studied that themes were main melodies correct? Well...I attempted a few along with some variations with the violin...atleast...I hope. Maarten Bauer
Hi, I overall enjoyed it! You seem unsure about yourself and your composition, concluding this from the description you have added to the post. There is no reason to be uncertain. In my opinion you have done very well. Kind regards
Monarcheon
{0 3 5 7 8} is your prime form and I don't see it properly inverted a lot of the time. Most people will argue the form doesn't have to stick throughout the entire T&V piece but it should certainly have a big part. I liked your crossings with octave equivalence and inversional equivalence at times, but it could have held true to the main theme a bit more. I'm happy that the chords from the main theme were not constant, and neither were the chord progressions. Sometimes people take it too laterally and I'm glad to see you hadn't. Cheers! Kind regards I was highly uncertain because writing and reading music is something I am not good at but I studied a lot of scores and orchestral terminalogy, as well as listening to you guys' music and reading opinions that it brought me to a place musically where I am comfortable in trying out things that would've otherwise been foreign to me. But I'm happy you enjoyed it...I was terrified making it hahaha. 9 minutes ago, Monarcheon said: {0 3 5 7 8} is your prime form and I don't see it properly inverted a lot of the time.
