Magic Waltz in the Library

Featured Replies

Hi ! :) I ended one of my biggest project at the time.
I invite You to the world of fable, dance and magic. Hope to a critic/feedback from You <3

My inspiration was the Concept Art/Painting, which i look at it - the history shows me and music comes itself.

Enjoy.

Bit fast for a typical waltz, no? I don't know, maybe not.
Your chord progression is a little awkward, especially when the last chord adds the supertonic it disguises it as something it shouldn't be.
Passing tone issues when the solo viola or cello comes in.
6/8 part is not a waltz; triplets are too fast, yeah? Also, too fast pizzicatos.
Parallel fourths at the end. Be careful.

Wow. I don't know why no one else has liked this yet. I like the orchestration/instrumentation. I wouldn't exactly call it a waltz though....

Like Monarcheon said, it's quite fast, it would be pretty difficult dance to in time. Also unless those pizzicatos are alternating (just like "Alternating-facts") that's really fast even for a talented soloist. I just wanted to emphasize those two points.
