Here's an instrumental piece I did. I threw in a lot of music references.. making it a little bit hard to pin down..  It was an exercise in 'flight of imagination'..

The polyphony is a little strange, but definitely is mood-creating so I can accept it. There are some spots in the middle section with "vocals" that came out as strange, especially the modulatory chords.
The main thing I experienced was the oddity of the beginning. I thought I was going to be getting some kind of modern jazz or something, but it turned into something a lot more lax... maybe that was the idea, but it really confused me.
Overall, good job!

Thanx guys .... from two 'seasoned composers'..  As you've probably guessed,  I'm a lot self taught,  with some arranging, and song writing courses from Berklee On line..

Monarcheon =  I definitely see your point, the intro does set you up for something different.. It might have made sense for the intro to be more relaxed, it's a bit 'exuberant and ambitious' for the rest of the piece.. But I like humor and the unexpected.. (I really don't take myself seriously anymore)

I greatly appreciate your comments Luis and Monarcheon.   I respect the two of you very much.
