"Fantasie" Dreamcatcher

This piece was written for flute and piano. I wrote this while I was in school and what inspired me to write it was my dreams. I though why not write a piece on different types of dreams you have. This will be a multi movement piece and this is the prelude called dreamcatcher. Please let me know what you think of the piece. Thanks!Click to choose files

it's nice. But I would split it into some parts.

The first part (hexatonic scale I think) and the last one (impressionistic) are quite different from the middle part strictly tonal.

Thanks! The beginning and end are both the whole tone scale and the middle is the tonal part of the piece. Technically I could've left the whole piece in he whole tone scale form but it wouldn't have worked as well. The whole tone scale suppose to represent someone falling asleep and the tonal part represents the dream. Hope that clarified it somewhat?!
