Quartertone Study No.2

Featured Replies

Hi all, this is my second Quartertone study, which I wrote in 2013, in my first semester at the Vienna University of music and performng arts.  Looking forward to your feedback.

Very nice! I like the fact that you try to find balancr between 'normal' notes and quartertones, maybe unconsciously.

You say that you study composition. I think it will be very appreciated by all members here when you review others' works as well, since you are on your way to become a professional composer. Your knowledge can help many people here.

A lot of good changes and variation from such little written music. Really good job. The exploration of the microtone interval sometimes felt a little overdone as it came up a lot when the "subtle sonorities" are so vastly impactful in the other typical harmonies we're used to, especially in the more rustic section.
