[Piano] Impromptu in F minor "We'll meet again" - Jeremie Lhomme

Recommended Posts

Very effective! You really convey the feeling of loss and grief well (and what key is better suited for that than f minor?). And the soft ending, like a last tear drop falling on the ground. Bravo!

Hey! I'm back with another piano piece. The original idea was the loss of a loved one.

Please, share it with your friends if you like it. :)

Have a great day!

Jérémie Lhomme

I like it so much that I want to play it right now!

Can you please upload the notes of the piece?

It didn't make me very sad, but I think it's beatiful, and if you don't care I'd like to play it by myself

(or, if you think it's fine, make a four hands version of it and play it with friends).

Nice piece. A few things worth noting:

The transition to F Minor at the end of the piece was awkard.

Near the end of the piece, I noticed the inappropriate use of a C major first inversion triad. Root position would've worked better in that spot.

The last chord was repeated too many times for me, but i think that's okay.

@ilv Thank you for taking the time to comment. "Inappropriate" is a bit of a strong word. Music isn't only rules your learned in school. Let's just say that YOUR ear was expecting something else and, that is indeed worth noting. Thank you!

While I agree with the fact that music isn't entirely rule-based, I think you were intending a classical style and that's why I felt that certain harmonies didn't fit, unless you're purposely doing a classical-modern tonal fusion (as I do sometimes in my own work), which I don't think was the case here.
