Night Express | Merry Christmas

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, my second post here ;)

I bought a new amazing Strings Library on Thanksgiving. So now I want to share my first track with this strings here. I'm so excited about this library, it was great to play around with all the articulations.. I focused mainly on the arrangement of the strings in this song. But this time on the mixing as well.. Not sure if it's to much eq. But I hope it's fine.

Anyway... merry christmas and enjoy!

Well, as I have no idea about mixing and all that ... I trust my ear and the melody and arrangement is fine. From 1:00 to 1:45 sounds a bit dense although the brass is fantastic. I think it's a good job.

Great piece, i really felt like I was on that train. To me the mixing sounds great, I have trouble with it too, just as you think you've got it sorted, something else seems to jump out at you that's wrong. The only thing I would suggest from this is maybe making the build ups drop slightly more, it will give it more punch when the you have the big hits.  What software have you got for the strings and also for your percussion? Great job, I look forward to hearing more of your stuff.
