December 28, 20178 yr This music was made by watching natural documentary music. I hope you enjoy listening to me. ^ _ ^
December 29, 20178 yr You pulled some gorgeous sonorities out of this ensemble! I love the wide, open harmonies you use, especially in the change around 1:05 in the video. The meters and melodic structure also make me think of something like a wide, open field and the smell of fresh air. I'm actually reminded of some of the work that Motoi Sakuraba did for the video game "Eternal Sonata" (one of my favorite game scores)! Great job.
December 29, 20178 yr Hello, Hemio! Wonderful harmonies and colors you create with your writing here! And I agree with above replies: wonderful counterpoint and writing for all of the instruments. I also love all of the little motifs and melodies you have created. There is so much material here! I almost think you could make this piece into a much longer one using all of these ideas you have here. Something like Barber's Summer Music with lots of sections and ideas all woven together by little motifs. You've written some wonderful music, I just wish I heard more of it and heard you develop these themes further! Thank you for sharing!
December 29, 20178 yr Lovely. Keep up that good work, Hemio. Good title too. Edited December 29, 20178 yr by Hugget Zukker
January 17, 20188 yr Really, really nice job! I have heard lots of pieces on this forum that try to show off harmonic and intense rhythmic complexity. This piece does so but in a pure, beautiful way. This piece is one of the most beautiful pieces of art music I have heard from this site. Good work! In at least one place, I noticed that all the voices were moving in the same direction. I know that is more of a classical voice leading thing, and you are probably aware of it and if so it's fine and I totally respect if that's the sound you're going for. Again, I really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work!
January 17, 20188 yr I loved it! I thought you made great use of each instrument, and that you really invoked the image of 'nature' in your music. Good job!
