Prelude No. 4 for Guitar - "Aurora"

Recommended Posts

I'm writing a set of guitar preludes. Almost all of them have some sort of modern touch to them, and this one is kind of in the middle as a very tonal and clichéd turning point before the real polytonal/pantonal preludes. I don't know if I like it and/or if I should get rid of it. Let me know!

@Monarcheon: I have rather enjoyed this prelude.  Thematic material with strum like patterns comes out rather nicely.  It definitely reminds me of a waltz...

I think I would have to hear a range of ideas before I tossed it out. It's melodic of course, and a bit sentimental. Two things that I like! But the devil is in the details. Some of the inner voices lack color and variation, but that's getting ahead of a fair appraisal until you post more, which I would like to hear. 😀
