August 10, 20187 yr I have no idea about the difference in those (sub)styles. But the first one is nice beacuse of the ethereal atmosphere in the first part. The second one has a very "crazy" rhytmic patterns... Well, I know at this point you're very good with rhythms... i dn't know what to tell you about which direction you should take. Why to make a restriction? Work on the style you like most, but don't discard the others.

I got the idea from "progressive" metal music for drums. Drums play 5/16 and 7/16 and 7/8 but guitar is simple 4/4.
