Psalm 100 Chorale

Featured Replies

This is a Psalm that I put into a Chorale type song. My church Choir is looking at the piece and hopefully I can get a live recording.

Any suggestion for future songย would be appreciated because I can't do much about this one ๐Ÿ™‚

I like the psalm. I reminds me of Bach's choral. I feel Fermatas are very well placed. Good job!

Agreed! A good piece, hope it gets sung! I'm not analyzing the progressions/voice leading/etc., just the overall feel of the piece.

Good work,

Gustav

Hi isuckatcomposing,

Could you answer me a couple of questions:

1. Is your first language English?

2. Have you ever taken formal lessons on chord progressions and such?

hi @Morivou_

English is my native language, as for the wording of the music, I am an instrumentalist, not a vocalist, and never learned the 'rules' for proper lyric making.

I have taken one Music Theory class.
