September 29, 20196 yr I wrote this piece using the fibonacci sequence. I'd love to get your feedback on it. I use an algorithmic approach for composing. The fibonacci phrase is repeated several times, in all four parts. In the lowest part, the note durations are are exactly twice as long.
October 2, 20196 yr It seems you rely totally in the form, no matter what happens with the clashing notes. I think the little mess comes in 00.40, near the end. The theme is quite tonal that's why it's shocking when the dissonance is high. I love this kind of forms (see Bartok and music for strings, percussion and celesta) but they should be a container for our coherent ideas... Perhaps you wanted something becoming more and more dissonant, in that case the piece is too short for a good transition.
October 2, 20196 yr Author Your observation about the dissonance is correct. I'm not following traditional common practice rules. So it opens up sounds and dissonances that are not possible using traditional rules.

What I see is that, as a matter of development, perhaps a smooth transition from consonance-like-traditional part to the end would work well.
