I'd love to see you start to transcribe your music. You'd be surprised at how quickly you'd grow as a composer.

This question is so important -and many young composers don't even consider it. It's refreshing to see that you've started with that question and built around it (as opposed to the other track). Nice work.

What's a good free transcription app?

What do you mean by free transcription app? Do you want a notation program or one of those softwares that you input an audio file and it transcribes the whole thing?

If you want a free notation software, go with musescore. I setteled on Sibelius though, and I recommend it if you think spending some resources on it is actually worth it.
