February 29, 20206 yr Here’s a little solo I created. I wanted to give it the style of Hisaishi. I hope I did it some justice!
March 3, 20206 yr I am not familiar with Hisaishi style. But after listening to your piece I really want to. It's a great piece of art and i really loved it. I just think you can add more to it at the end. Edited March 3, 20206 yr by Tomer13
March 6, 20206 yr It's a particular style, definitely. I get a little bored of the use of direct appoggiatura suspensions. For example, the motion part right before the end was nice, but could incorporate that idea via compound melody.
July 2, 20205 yr @Sepharite You might like. Your piece sounds like a very specific one in this soundtrack I can't manage to recall, but if you listen you might find out yourself.
July 14, 20205 yr Very lush and rich harmonies. Somehow I don't get tired of your repeated use of those arpeggios. It's a common way of writing for piano but you didn't over do it. You end your piece on a bVI if I'm not mistaken. It's not that you have to end on the tonic chord to make it sound complete but I think in this instance it's begging for some kind of greater release. Have you tried ending on a IV? Edited July 14, 20205 yr by PaperComposer
