I am trying to figure out where to go from here. I know it's only 24 seconds. Any feedback appreciated.

I like it.  Is it part of a soundtrack to something?  If so it would help to know as it would better inform what we might suggest.  Personally, I can hear a quieter, contrasting section following with a flute melody supported by a string or harp accompaniment, but that's just me.

This is just a hobby. I agree with you. I do need to tone some things down. I made the flutes more pronounced over the strings.

Update: May use this as the beginning. How does it sound for a beginning?

I like it, maybe in the next section incorporate more woodwinds. Hold on ill listen to the second one.

It seems almost like a song in the key of a cluster chord, which I actually find very cool. Maybe some loud points in the staccato brass to give it more contrast, and then you can like build little lines around that, idk that's what I would do. It sounds great though.

Thank you.

I  think it sounds similar to a cluster chord too. I've never noted a cluster chord like this before. I like the idea of woodwinds at the end. I was thinking; staccato oboe with a layered alto flute.

Very Good

Iv put your last section 1st

and your third section 2nd

it sounds like your heading towards

a Massive finale....like in the Film  "PSYCHO"

So Throw everything you can at the orchestra, in the finale

and Then give them a Tranquilizer.

A1 MASTER

Thank you.

What program did you use to splice the two demos together? Is it Audacity?

Yes thats correct

some of the Broadcast-software programs

arent directly available to the General Public.

an example would be these 2 companys :

VIRZT | BROADCASTING ENTERTAINMENT

CHYRON - HEGO | CAMIO

But if your Mastering system is similar

to whats explained in this previous post,

then i would say , for the layman

theres little difference in the Final Result.

Hi Quinn

and thanx for your reply

Regarding the "CRISPNESS" , that seemed to low for you

i can only say that all these trax produced now complie

to the LKFS Broadcast industrie standard.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LKFS

then the Mastering Final , which Levels-Off all the EQ.

Broadcast ,Optimod 8600...........

op.JPG.51d92af8a1304458470d1641a0ced17e.JPG

so that all frequencys are brought up to flat-line.

so that when these trax are played ON-RADIO-TV, or in a car stereo, or a mobile device, or a massive p.a. Arena-Club

nothing is missing.....but of course, most trax AFTER mastering-Final

are then converted to mp3, and then uloaded to social media like soundcloud

or youtube, who then add there own tricks, to bring down the file size.

----------------------------------

also if your ears are used to hearing trax that havnt been mastered correctly

then thos trax might sound more "Toppy",or "BASSY",

so when hearing those trax, and then coming back to a Mastered trax

that mastered trax might appear to sound FLAT, in comparison.

I must say, I am envious of the hardware you own.

I think the way you could lengthen your ideas is to repeat the whole previous section of music but change small things about it here and there or maybe change the octave in which your material is played (although that's sometimes easier said than done).  Or you could also change which instruments play which melodic material you had originally.  I know that's kind of a basic suggestion but I always do this in my music and it works for me.  Hopefully it's helpful. 😃

Ahh thats kind, thankyou x

But im not as talented as you are regarding REAL film-scoring

When i was putting your trax through the Master-Mix

I realized what an amazing gift you have, to be able to score

all of those instruments , in a way to create a Feeling.

A composition-inteligence, that in all the years iv got left to live,

ill never be able to create a Master Piece, like yours.

Thank you.

I understand. To create different variations with other instruments. I tried doing this earlier and got stuck for an hour going back and forth with a french horn and a trombone.

Update: Expanded the beginning; also need to re-arrange some notes at the start.
