how to make an video game snow theme?

So,  I'm trying to make a video game snow theme styled thing. Any ideas on what instruments I should use? I know that Piano would be one, and theres some type of Shaker-sounding thing, and also orchestra could be used too, but I can't do orchestra because I don't have it.

You haven't said much about where you're at? A short bio would help people help you. Like - do you play piano? Have you a DAW or notation program. Do you mean you haven't orchestral sound samples by not having an orchestra. And how long you've been composing; what research you've done into the game industry or how game music works?

@quinn I started composing in december of last year, I use LMMS, I do play piano, but I don't have a proper keyboard to hook up to my computer, I DO mean that I don't have any orchestra sounds, and I've done no research on music game sound. 😕

The arp and strings playing high pitches should be useful. Also maybe a flute could work.

Sleigh bells, shakers, church bells, piano, Violins, women's choir, harp, horns, celesta, glockenspiel are common.

Lydian mode, extended chords, woodwind runs, and octave harmonies are pretty common in those kinds of themes...

Well, I think if you are asking this question then you have kind of missed the point, being that the only way to describe something is through your own personal experience. Making something that is like other things that have in the past described such thing is wrong, because those people aren't you. You know how to write it, don't ever doubt that. Its just that there are instruments I'd need to use to make specific songs, like for beach songs, they'd need steel drums.

Definitely soft bells and some heavy violin in background in rather lazy tempo!
