October 20, 20205 yr Here my new classic rondo in ABACABA' form. A has more a melody and accopaniment texture, whileย B and C haveย more counterpoint texture with some rythm and interval interplayย violin-cello.ย Hope you enjoy it. Any comments are more than wellcome. Edited October 20, 20205 yr by Guillem82
October 20, 20205 yr Nice job!ย I thought the coda/extension was a really creative way to end the piece.ย This seems to haveย the character/flavor of a minuet.ย Quite enjoyable!
October 20, 20205 yr Nice work. Well formed and a good interplay between the instruments. The light articulations give it a bounce. Like PaperComposer, I liked the ending. A bit of a teaser - suspense awaiting the final bars. The variations in dynamics also seem to work well.... Great.
October 20, 20205 yr Amazing! I love it! Really beautiful counterpoint! ๐ I love the melodic motives from 1:00 and 1:15 and how you restate them several times in a row!
October 21, 20205 yr Nice. Delicate and intricate, good job interweaving the parts and motives. I could see this having been composed by a big name

Yes, I finished the last bars with a Fugato using the head of the main Theam with some cadences over the dominant to prepare the final cadence. I wan't sure to write it in 3/8 or 3/4. It could be a minuet as you say, but I see the tempo slightly faster, that's why I chose 3/8.

Great. ย Hi @Quinn, In that piece I took my time to look at the detail of the articulation and I think it worth it, specially bow instruments have quite a big range of articulations and playing techniques and it makes a difference with you spend some time in the details. When I wrote my Symphony two months ago, I wrote it much faster, but not looking that deeply in the articulations, so I wanted to focus more on that with that Rondo.ย

October 21, 20205 yr I really enjoyed this piece, it deserves to be performed although your midi device has excellent strings. I think the time you spent on articulation paid off, it sounds really authentic of the period. If this had a big name on the manuscript I wouldn't have questioned it. I particularly liked the effect created by the simple descending quaver repeats of the cello. The counterpoint is spot on, its beautiful and the last bar is a delight. Overall it captures the elegance of the classical period, well done!
October 23, 20205 yr Author Thanks for your positive comments @DarrenEnglandand @Esper! A live performance would be a dream ๐ Edited October 23, 20205 yr by Guillem82
