A Sacred Chant

Featured Replies

Hey guys, havent posted anything for a while now. Well, back to business. So I was looking through a MIDI file for game Quintessence, and there was this very churchy chant that just kind of caught my eye. When I listened to it, it reminded me of the mornings of sunday church :D. The original score was for Organ, but I thought what if I put it in Choir? Now that would be cool. Therefore, I made an arrangement for it. Here it is! Enjoy :whistling:

Composition: Sacred Chant (Original Title: Church_01)

Composed by Enterbrain

Arranged by James QZ

File Type: MP3

File Size: 1.01MB

Omg it sucks.

Nice, I've always hated the in-your-face organ version. I'll definitely use this over the organ one for sure.

And what's up, how's school? I'm at Western now, and it's 1:40 in the morning; I still have no intent to sleep soon... Will have to take a nap tomorrow.

neh. Cool :whistling:

Hey! thx Mr.Mark, and I'm guessing you are new here. well welcome to YC

Ya, of course it works, there's nothing that "James" CAN'T do. :w00t:

wow, very fine piece! it is a wonderful melody! great job with the chorus!

Hey! thx for the comment franz. Ya I know, the melody sounds so smooth and beautiful. But hey, the arrangement made it even better! :(

I thought it might be good to post the original version (for Organ) of this piece. When you listen to it, there seems to be echos, but that's just the composer (Enterbrain) delayed each notes (with 3 same melodies) by eighth notes. See how do you like it.

Haha James, looks like I've missed something here~

I've listened to both the midi and the arranged version by "Nothing impossible James" (Yup, that's you~)

This piece is great by itself, but you made it a lot better!!! The choirs really did a great job in enhancing the mood of this piece. I played this song and let the repeat on, and while I'm listening on the bed, it makes me fall asleep in about 5 minutes! haha... The melody is so beautiful and sacred. I especially love the part from 0:40 - 0:50, it's really amazing~

I can't get the link for your choir one to work... is there a way you can attach it?

What A double post revies

anyway, James I've only listened to the newly posted midi-file. Well It is rather pleasant. But I somehow well that you could develop it a bit more, counterpionts and all that. Would make it more intressting.

Retron: yes, I will attach the choir file for you, i think because it's outdated... too long, that's why it's not available any more, but dont worry, as soon as i get my homework and stuff done ill do it for ya :)

Saiming: Hi Saiming, thanks for the comment, Yes i suppose i could develope it a bit more.... hmm, also ill get you the attachment too.

Best regards
