Autumn in E flat minor

This takes a while to get started but the mood it sets is quite bleak.  I actually imagine this as more of a wintery piece than autumn.  During the calm beginning I visualize softly falling snowflakes on some Russian landscape.  When it gets more intense it's more stormy.  It goes from very gentle to very driving.  I can also hear it as a kind of depressed mood which is more common for some people with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).  Although it's pretty much based on a single theme I don't tire of it nor of the consistently Eb minor tonality - the various tempos and figurations you use make all the difference and create some well executed contrasts.  Well done and great performance!

This is really beautiful! This is probably my favorite piece by you! The mood enchanting, and the overall form was very effective, especially as it reached the clmax. Everything here was very well executed, and most importantly, it was emotional and beautiful. I especially liked the piano writing in the climax of the piece, it reminds me of Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata. Wonderful performance as well! 😄

Thank you so much!

To be honest, I live in the south of Russia and snow here is very rare. All winter is almost like autumn.

But you are right about something. I feel this play is like November. Very close to winter.

Yes, you're right, it does resemble the first part of Beethoven's Appassionata. Although I like the third part of this work best.

Thank you very much for your sincere words and positive feedback about my piece!
