I agree with Luis that the harmony insists on Ab major for too long, even though it's compensated by different timbre from different instruments. 1:47 is the first time to have a V chord! That makes the piece less moving forward, especially harmonically. There's a modulation to Bb major in 2:42, but the harmonic language is also uniform.
