Fugue for small orchestra

I wrote this for fun and exercise. Thank you.

Hi @Luis Hernández,

This one is very funny to listen to! Just notice a few things: the double flats in section G looks a bit scary to me haha, and there’s a parallel fifth in b.61 for the stretto. Nonetheless it’s craftily written and I like its light heartedness! I sep. like section E for a little spicier harmony. Thx for sharing!

About double flats...

It's just the chord Eb dim7 = Eb - Gb - Bbb - Dbb

Very interesting work, Luis. Seems to have a lot of your harmonic language interspersed in there as well which makes it a good, captivating blend between the new and old. The orchestration also sounds quite clean and well judged; I especially like the harpsichord with it's rhythmic backdrop. Appreciate you going the extra mile and providing us with the chord labels.

Thank you.
I tried to do something for fun but also to practice a bit of basic orchestration etc....
When organising the piece what I did is to group the voices sometimes by registers (mixing timbres) and sometimes by orchestral families.

Greetings.

What a delightful piece!

I especially like your oboe melody in bars 30-35, and the false ending on page 12.
The alternation between arco and pizz in the strings is nice too.

Nice and joyful work 🙂
