It would be fun to hear more groovy tracks on this forum.2 - Meticulous Composer: Literally, a badge awarded to those who submit a piece where every element, such as DAW playback, performance articulation, and panning, has been meticulously crafted.3 - Gentleman: This is a bit different from music. However, I think kind members are important to the community. So, it would be great if someone who has been treated kindly gave something back to that person.4 - Synthesizer Master: To everyone creating amazing sounds with synthesizers! An icon resembling a small Moog synthesizer might be a good idea, something that’s instantly recognizable as a synth.5 - Mixing Master: To the creator of a track with amazing mixing!6 - Stimulator: This badge is for creators who spark inspiration in others, whether a track sparked a new idea or motivated someone to start creating. It’s awarded to those who serve as a great source of inspiration for the community members.By the way, how about introducing a system where members can anonymously nominate someone for a badge by simply providing their username (the person you want to give it to, with an @ symbol) and the reason?I imagine some people might want to award a badge but feel a bit too shy to post in the "Award Request Thread." It’s a shame that such great badges exist but aren't being used very much!Best,Lithl.

If you wish to anonymously nominate someone for an award, you can message any of the staff privately and we will take your nomination into consideration!
August 10Aug 10 Oh! These are great badges!Thank you @PeterthePapercomPoser and the support team!I like the designs for "Synthesizer Wizard," "Gentlefolk," and "Stimulator" are especially wonderful! Very nice!If you wish to anonymously nominate someone for an award, you can message any of the staff privately and we will take your nomination into consideration! Also, adding this text to the first post in this topic ( @PeterthePapercomPoser's post listing the awards) might make things clearer!By the way, there is someone I would like to nominate for a badge, so I’ll take this opportunity to mention it here.Person's name: @Vasilis MichaelBadge: Meticulous ComposerTopic for the badge: https://www.youngcomposers.com/t50201/sonata-no-26-in-a-major-binary/Reason: I think the piano composition itself is crafted with incredible precision—including the interplay between the left and right hands. Furthermore, the piano playback is really amazing; the articulation and sound clarity reflect that same meticulous attention to detail, which is why I wanted to award him this badge. His pieces are always wonderful, after all :)Best,Lithl. Being described as a “Meticulous Composer” is a particularly meaningful compliment, because I really do care deeply about the smallest details in my music — from the interaction between the hands and the articulation to the harmonic choices and the overall character of a piece.I’m especially touched that you chose the Sonata No. 26 as an example, but even more by the fact that you see this quality throughout my work. After all, these pieces are a very personal part of my musical journey.Thank you again for your kindness and support, my friend. I’m genuinely grateful to have my music appreciated in such a thoughtful way. ❤️
August 27Aug 27 Author @MK_Piano has provided some very creative ideas for the possible badges for the "From Nothing, to Something" Summer 2026 Competition! Check them out:"L'alchimiste Award"- for the most imaginative transformation of the text into music."Dans l’Esprit de Verlaine Award" - for the piece that best captured the spirit of Verlaines poem."The Poème d'Amour Award" - reserved for the piece voted to have best captured the sensation of love."The Évocation Award" - reserved for the piece voted to have best captured the sensation of summer.Of course, don't forget that there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards as well. And all the participants will receive a participant award while all the reviewers will receive an ardent reviewer badge in one of three tiers. Don't forget that the competition ends September 24th! We only have a month left! Of course - let us know what other badges we could award to the winners of this competition! We're going for French names of the badges/awards to accord with the French poem that the competition is based on.

Translate 'the feel' to french. We already have "The Évocation Award" - reserved for the piece voted to have best captured the sensation of summer.Whatever means the composer uses towards achieving that summery feel is up to them - instrumentation, orchestration, harmony, textures, melody, etc. Hence, I think an award just for "summery instrumentation" is redundant.
Yesterday at 11:51 AM1 day GuysAnd Award called TristantheTristanThe TristanTheTristan...Name Idea from Fruithunter @Fruit hunter Given to: Great set of Theme and Variations. It is basically something like repetitive name-- repeated theme but with changes so it is a variation right? You can change the name tbh. Thanks! -TristanTheTristan

So the first thing is (and what I also told Fruit hunter) is that these kinds of awards cannot be created because every member of the website would want an award created for their name "The Fruit hunter Award of Excellence", "The TristantheTristan Award", "The PeterthePapercomPoser Award", "The Chopin Award", "The Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Award" etc. etc. etc. These kinds of awards would be meaningless and wouldn't bestow any kind of honor or significance to those they would be given to.The other problem is that awards are still bestowed by the staff so there would be a logistical challenge since you'd always have to ask a staff member to bestow the award to someone for you. Finally - you do have a good idea hidden in your post - the idea of having an award for a good Theme and Variations. Now you'd just need a good concept for such an award and what kind of graphic might fit such a concept. Thanks for the idea!

The only comparable existing award is the "Musical Explorer" badge, but a "Creative Composer" badge would also be good! Thanks.
