Everwhere

Featured Replies

I'm new at this site, but I've been writing for a long time. My favorite styles to write are Ambient, Electronic, New Age, and Symphonic. Its funny, because I usually listen to punk and power metal. Anyway, here's the most recent thing I've written, entitled "Everwhere". Note the NES square wave sound in the middle. I use cakewalk, and render with Synthfont. Any comments are welcome. Thanks!

By the way, I'm looking to compose for video games, so if anyone is interested, send me an email, or just reply to this post!

This is pretty awesome stuff ;)

I'll comment more on it later when I finish my homework but I'll say now I enjoyed this and it reminds me very strongly of some game I played a lot when younger on my Sega Genesis. :P

Yeah, it's definitely got that vintage feel of older games but it sounds wonderful and I love your rhythms! :P

You've got some trippy stuff going here. I like the effects and the morphing oscillation going on with the sound - very appropriate.

It's repetitive in a pleasant way - perfect for game music, and would fit a retro-styled game very well.

Is this FruityLoops I'm hearing?

This is quite good in terms of modern music (particularly the genres you specified). I enjoyed the styles you incorporated which boardered between video game music and light electronica.

If you could find a person creating an appropriate game for this style (usually continuous play ones where you go through levels) you would be very successful, I reckon.

Actually, its all midi, but I render it with soundfonts. I can't stand FruityLoops, personally.

Very good.

I can see this as a futuristic "dungeon" in a mideval era type RPG, you know, the ones where they have this high tech stuff from "ancient" beings that these less advanced adventurers com across... Lovely melodys, with proper harmonies, only complaint would be "more please"...

PS: FL Studio is a host sequencer for samples, soundfonts, and VSTis... Don't try any of the standard stuff, they'll put a bad taste in you mouth....

Heheh, your favorite genres are the same as mine.

Sadly, I get "The download link has been updated (error: #9).

You may now download the file."

So I can't listen to it...

I use FL Studio (and GPO). I'm not sure what kind of "standard stuff" Electric means...
