When I click submit post I immediately get an error telling me I cannot post twice within 15 seconds, regardless of time since last post. It does this because it seems to be sending duplicate requests to post. One post shows up, the other kicks me to the error screen. From there I can see the first post went through.

Very odd. I can think of no reason why a post would be submitted twice (I've had no trouble with this personally). See here for some explanation behind what has likely caused any recent problems, though: http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/error-4889-2.html#post99981

Hm, it doesn't seem to explain my problem. Now it isn't consistent though, it's taken to being every other time or so.

You mean it's still happening?

Which browser are you using? Have you tried restarting it? Tried clearing the cache and cookies? Is it happening on any other vB boards?

Firefox, across two computers. No, I haven't because it isn't a serious error, and no, not on other vB boards.

I recently changed the marking method for unread posts. The old one was a bit problematic - several users, including myself, have had problems with it historically.

There's only really one difference with the new method, which is that as soon as you've read all unread posts in a thread, that thread will disappear completely from the new posts list, unlike with the old system where it would remain but not have an unread marker next to it. Obviously, if you make a post yourself, the system isn't going to consider it "unread" (it assumes you read what you type :P), so it won't appear on the list until someone else posts after you.

If you are having problems with the new marking system (or have problems with read/unread posts at any time), it is recommended that you click "Mark all forums as read and return to index" on the left hand side of the brown bar on the View New Posts page. This will act as a "reset button" for your list of unread posts.

Yeah, I noticed that change. It screwed me up a lot, lol. I'm still used to the old system.
