  1. Hello everyone! This is a Sarabande in C major for solo cello. it is supposed to go together with the allemande and Courante I composed before. It is in [:A:][:B:] binary form and slow 3/4 time. Also, an occasional (or sometimes constant) stress of the second beat is considered to be a "common" feature of the Sarabande style so I tried to apply it in certain points. The first part is 8 measures long and modulates from the tonic, Cmaj, to the dominant Gmaj. Part B is 15 measures long and stays mostly in the relative minor (Am) but ending in Cmaj. I intended the first part to work as a kin
  2. Hello everyone! This is a courante in C major for solo cello. it is supposed to go together with the allemande I composed last month since I am trying to composer a whole suite. It is in [:A:][:B:] binary form and 3/4 time. The first part is 16 measures long and modulates from the tonic, Cmaj, to the dominant Gmaj. Part B is 18 measures long and modulates once: Cmaj --> Dm --> Cmaj. Any feedback, suggestion or comment is appreciated! Hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening!
  3. Hello everyone! This is an allemande in C major for solo cello that I just finished. It is my second suite dance piece for the cello (the last one was a minuet). It is in [:A:][:B:] binary form and 4/4 common time. The first part is 14 measures long and modulates from the tonic, Cmaj to the dominant, Gmaj . Part B is 22 measures long and goes through more modulations: Cmaj -> Am -> Em -> Am -> Cmaj. Any feedback or suggestion is appreciated! Hope you enjoy it and thank you for listening!
  4. This piece represents the night and its atmosphere of unknowing and worry.
  5. Hello all! I would like to have a concert in 2012 October-November, which would be a solo cello concert. I will play pieces like Penderecki's Capriccio, and Ligeti Solo Sonata. On this concert, I would like to perform one of your pieces, so that's the reason for this competition. You can write for cello solo, or cello with electronic accompaniment (or other prerecorded staff). I prefer more xx. century or contemporary staff on this concert, so neo-classic and neo-romantic pieces won't be really accepted. The piece doesn't have to be new, but I like to be the world premiere cellist :) You
